At the top right is Notifications. This tell you you have messages. Click it to open. Click the RED X to clear them and the BLUE words to view them.
On the tool bar below the forum banner are your Messages. Click to open and view. Be sure to clear them every so often.
Note the tabs at the top: Inbox Sentbox Outbox Savebox. You also have to clear these every so often.
To open again click the BLUE words

To send a new PM click
You need to make sure you have something in the Subject line.
