I'm glad there were no fatalities. Another example of how gun control doesn't work. What happened here was illegal before and after the SAFE act passed.

The man said he heard around ten shots fired. 'That whole place cleared out. They all went running around the corner. It was like a stampede. That place had been packed,' he said."

SARCASM MODE: If only there had been a law against more than 10 rounds in a magazine ... or better yet, a law against shooting people

Police search for evidence outside the home on E. 52nd Street, East Flatbush, Brooklyn, where a violent outbreak of gunfire hospitalized seven.
Eight people were injured, one seriously, after a gunman fired at crowd of Brooklyn partygoers early Sunday, police sources said.

Four men and four women were injured during a 12:50 a.m. shooting at a packed E. 52nd St. house in East Flatbush, cops said.

Seven of the victims were taken to Brookdale University Medical Center and Kings County Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.

One woman who had been in critical condition after the shooting was upgraded to stable after emergency surgery, police sources said.

The youngest victim was 18.

A 22-year-old man who declined to give his name said he was approaching the boisterous party from Clarendon Rd. when a man began firing into a crowd of around 60 revelers on the street in front of the house, apparently without a specific target.

"A person in the middle of the crowd just started shooting all around, into the crowd," the man said.

"People were screaming. I started running the other way."

A 43-year-old resident of the block said a group of women left the party hurriedly before the shooting, telling him they were afraid a crime was about to be committed after an altercation inside.

"They were running, they knew something was about to go down," the man said.

Minutes later, the man said he heard around ten shots fired. "That whole place cleared out. They all went running around the corner. It was like a stampede. That place had been packed," he said.

The gunman was still at large early Sunday.
